Research Plan
The research model of the UdL
The UdL Research Plan is committed to a networked model where different groups, departments, centers and institutes collaborate in developing solutions to major social and scientific challenges. Thus, the Research Plan proposes a research model that is based on the following points:
- Identify cross-cutting challenges that require expertise in different fields and that can end up in socially relevant actions.
- Search for innovation in the power of the interaction between knowledge fields.
- Bet on creativity, starting with the stage of student training and ending with research projects.
- Identify which researchers can play a leading role.
- Encourage international collaborations.
- To favor a process of merging research groups to achieve a critical dimension sufficient to develop relevant projects.
- Encourage the incorporation of new researchers and groups taking advantage of the different national and international programs.
- Integrate research and teaching in a model of the UdL, in order to train future professionals capable of playing a relevant role in the generation of knowledge.
- Intensify the connection with the productive sector.
- Commitment to the institution.
