Agrotechnology Research Center

Agrotecnio is a research center of excellence in agriculture, animal production and food technology of the ETSEA campus of the University of Lleida, training in Lleida in December 2012 as successor of the UdL-IRTA Foundation.
The center's scientific activities focus on a key area that encompasses agricultural sciences, animal sciences and food science.
Agrotecnio covers all the key elements of the food production chain in an integral way from the crops to the commercially important animals and the food for human consumption.
The mission of Agrotecnio is scientific research and to disseminate conclusions and results in society, to train the next generation of Scientists in the chain of production and processing of food and to develop internal and external collaborations with other leading institutions in the world.

CTFC

Centre Tecnològic Forestal de Catalunya

The CTFC, headquartered in Solsona (Lleida), was founded in 1996 as a consortium participated by the Consell Comarcal del Solsonès, the University of Lleida, the Diputació de Lleida, the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation, and the Government of Catalonia. The activity of the CTFC is not restricted solely to competitive research, but the transfer of technology and knowledge and training, which represent an important volume of its activity, evaluate its results. The transfer of technology in the form of agreements with the private sector and the public administrations is complemented by the organization of seminars by the general public and agents of the sector (managers, owners, technicians, administration and scientists, etc.) at national and international level , contributing to the transfer of this knowledge and to the generation of debate.
